Health & Safety Bulletin – Be Safe – Oct 16

A healthy and safe workplace starts with identifying and understanding what your work related health and safety risks are; particularly those that have the potential to cause people serious injury or illness. It then involves doing what is reasonable and practical and what risks are you able to eliminate or minimize. But how do you do it? Detail the improvement ideas or identify the problem you are attempting to overcome using a Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.

Plan: Identify the key measures and assess the risks.
Do: Implement the agreed plan by eliminating or minimising risks.
Check: Monitor the control measure and measure performance.
Act: Review performance and act on lessons learned for continuous improvement. Incorporate the improvements into everyday work practices for sustainability.

BE SAFE at work following above PDCA cycle. Repeat it so you can get closer to your health and safety goals.
